Stephen spent the major part of his life in Carbondale, Illinois. He encouraged his sons Ben and Flynn to act as they were kids, having played in sketches with them both at First Night Springfield – the New Year’s Eve celebration. That helped to discover Ben’s talent as an entertainer, after which he started a career in that area.

Stephen was raised in Philadelphia, PA, and was educated at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. After graduation, he moved to Texas to work at a college there. Then Steve traveled to Ireland, where he started his career as a writer and released a book of short stories. Several years later he returned to Carbondale and met the love of his life, Peg. They created a family and brought up two talented sons – Ben and his older brother. For the major part of his life, Steve served as a professor of English at John A. Logan College. He is retired now but still directs the plays for the college theater.

Benjamin Scott Falcone was born and raised in Carbondale, Illinois, and started at the local Community High School there. He has been interested in acting since the earliest age, being inspired by the example of his older brother. After graduation, Falcone entered the University of Illinois to study communications. Dreaming about a career as an actor, Ben soon moved to Los Angeles. There he joined the rare acting gigs with the work of a waiter in a small restaurant. His life changed after he was hired by the theater company “The Groundlings”, where he met his future wife Melissa McCarthy.

Falcone gained wide recognition after the role of Howard, the main character’s neighbor, in the Friends spin-off “Joey”. Later he played small roles in the series “According to Jim”, “My Name Is Earl” etc.
