They had their first date on May 25th, 2001. LeeAnn and Bert dated for a short time and then she dumped him. The reason for such a decision was that Bert got drunk at a dinner party and started a conflict with her friend. To get his beloved woman back, the comedian decided to quit drinking and started visiting Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, and focused his mind on new career projects. He asked God to give him LeeAnn back and promised to marry her and make her his only one.
At the same time, LeeAnn suddenly felt that she had to give Bert a second chance. They reconciled and got married on December 28, 2003.

Bert is his father’s namesake. The full name of Kreischer Sr. is Albert Charles, but he is widely known as Al. Currently, Bert and Al share a close bond, but previously they had some disagreements. That happened during Bert’s time at LSU when he partied instead of studying. Then Al paid Bert’s bills and put lots of effort to find a job for him. The loving daddy wanted his son to enter Duke University instead of LSU and to become an outstanding baseball player there, but Bert did not meet expectations.
