Dave Chappelle is an internationally popular stand-up comedian, mostly known due to his work in Chappelle’s Show, which was on air in 2003-2006.

Mr. Chappelle tried his hand as a comedian for the first time at the age of 14. After graduating from school, he moved from Washington, where he resided with his mother, to New York City with a strong intention to make the career in stand-up comedy. At first, he performed at nightclubs, and then played at the Apollo Theatre during amateur night, but he failed and public booed him.

But that didn’t stop the man, and he continued his activity. The young man was noticed by film producers at the tender age of 19, and he won his first role – in the film “Robin Hood: Men In Tights”.

In 2003 he was catapulted to stardom as the co-creator of Chappelle’s Show, which was on air at Comedy Central. Three seasons later he quit his show and returned to his roots – he began to perform as a stand-up comedian again.
