Stanley Sandler bio

No need to tell, that mother figure is very important for any person, but what’s about a father? He is that very man, who welcomes the kid into this world. Unfortunately, not everyone can boast to have a great dad. But Adam Sandler is a lucky person, whose father was his big friend and his mentor.

Stan Sandler was as an electrical engineer. He was married to his loved one Judith and they raised 4 kids together. Later Sandler confessed, that his dad never lectured him. But he always served as the best role model for his son.

In spite of the fact, that Stan quite often called his son “moron” (jokingly, of course) he managed to become his real friend and supporter. He taught the actor to love his family – and now Mr. Sandler is one of the best family men in Hollywood.

The actor tells that his father and mother were really happy together. But his father was quite a hot tempered person. He could easily become angry and shout at his kids. Adam used jokes to make his dad’s tempter softer.

At first Stan didn’t believe in Adam’s idea to earn his living as a comic and called his kid as “a laughter seller”. But he was very proud of his son, when heard about his success in Hollywood.

Stan died in September, 2003 soon after Adam’s wedding to an actress Jackie Titone after a long battle with lung cancer. His son devoted him really sweet words at the end of his film “50 First Dates”.
