Ruvé Robertson McDonough (wife)

Neal McDonough is not a typical Hollywood guy because he is very involved in his family life. The screen star never gets tired of saying that meeting his wife was the biggest present he had ever got from his fate.

He met Ruvé in London while filming “Band of Brothers”, the military series centered on 7 officers and 140 men of the airborne division. Neal portrayed a lawyer Lynn D. Compton, the real-life character, known by his prosecution of Sirhan, Kennedy’s probable assassin.

Neal met Ruvé occasionally on St. Patrick’s Day in 2000 during an interview. He was in a relationship with another woman at that time, but he broke up with her immediately as felt, Ruvé was his betrothed. They made their bonding official and exchanged vows on December 1, 2003.

Ruvé Robertson spent her early years in South Africa. She studied at Empangeni High School, the biggest educational establishment in Zululand. She is the daughter of Pam Dreyer and Robbie Robertson (passed away in 2016). Ruvé has a brother named Ryan.

She started her career as a bikini model. Nowadays Mrs. Mcdonough earns her living as a film producer, working by her husband’s side.

Ruvé is also involved in charity. With her husband, she runs a charity fund, the aim of which is to help poor people in South Africa.

In his interview with Michael Rosenbaum Neal described his wife as “his driving force”.

Neal doesn’t like to speak about his five children as he prefers to keep that mystique an actor Mcdonough is surrounded by. But in his everyday life, he is just a goofy family guy, who spends a lot of time with his kids. The actor coaches his children in their sports, takes them to school, and attends all the meetings.

The name of his oldest son with his beloved wife Ruve Robertson is Morgan Patrick McDonough. In the family circle the boy is named Little Buck (after Neal’s character in “Band of Brothers”, which was also nicknamed “Buck”).

Morgan is a kind-hearted person. He visits the church with his parents regularly. Besides, he supports kids with mental issues. Thus, he took children with autism and Down Syndrome to the café for lunch to make them a little happier.

Little Buck is also a TikTok star. His funny dancing and sports videos attracted 5k subscribers to his page. With his other siblings, he debuted in the film “Boon”, produced by his parents in 2022.

Little Buck lives with his family in Tsawwassen, British Columbia.

Catherine McDonough (daughter)

Catherine Maggie McDonough is Neal and Ruve’s oldest daughter. In his old interview, Neal joked, that he was nicknamed as “headster” at school for his big Irish head. His kids also have such a distinctive feature. But Catherine has not just a big head, but also a wide-open smile.

She got her name from her paternal grandmother Catherine. Her parents share the time between Canada and the USA. Catherine prefers to spend more time in sunny California.

She is a student at Oaks Christian School. The girl is very tall – her height is 6 ft 3 in. Such a great physique makes her a great baseball and basketball player. She is a member of the Sunshine Volleyball Club.

Catherine maintains friendly relationships with the YouTube star Emily Dobson.

London Jane McDonough made her first breath in Los Angeles at the Good Samaritan Hospital, having joined her older siblings.

Nowadays, London is a school pupil. Her father is a Superdad for her, and in her early years, she named him so, according to her mom’s Instagram. Neal talked with her daughter and other kids about God a lot.

Clover Elizabeth is another girl in the big Irish family of the actor Neal McDonough. She is an active athletic girl. At her school in Los Angeles Clover plays basketball. Neal McDonough lost his mother when he was just 27 years old. His mom died in a car accident. That was a serious blow for an actor as he was so close to her. Her maiden name was Bushe.

Catherine was a well-educated person. She studied in England. Mrs. McDonough had a friendly happy family. She was the mother of five and joined that with the work of a motel owner. According to Neal, his mother ran a small motel, while his father had a big hotel. Later they opened the coffee shop in addition to the motels. Frank McDonough (father)

Neal was blessed with great parents. Both of them were Irish immigrants. His father Frank was a Galway native. He grew up with a brother Gabriel. Frank served in the army. He was a sergeant. As there were lots of kids in the family, Frank used his military experience to create a very disciplined environment in their house. McDonough children stood in a line, had dinner simultaneously, and went to bed. But Neal, the youngest of his siblings, was pampered by his dad.

Frank ran the hotel consisted of 40 rooms. Neal was 5 years old when he started helping his parents, wash the dishes in their hotel. The future film star was 20 when he started running one of the family motels by himself. But he quit that job to become a professional actor.

Mr. McDonough Sr. was a faithful husband of Catherine, Neal’s mother, till her tragic death. After that, he re-married Margaret Grace. She became a good friend to Neal. Margaret passed away in 2018. Neal shared a close bond with his dad. Frank’s departure was hard for an actor. He is still so thankful for everything his dad did for him.
