Who are Ashton Irwin parents?

In his interview with “Altpress” Irwin confessed, that he had never known his biological father. The man has disappeared from the family picture when Aston was just two years old. He was brought up by a stepfather, who encouraged him to make music. The other important man in his life was his uncle. He played the drums in a rock band, and he inspired his nephew to play the drums, too.

Irwin told about his mother, that she was struggling with alcoholism during her whole life. That’s why Ashton feels very nervous when he deals with alcohol – he is afraid that addiction is in his genes. Anne-Marie maintains warm relationships with her son. As she told, Irwin very often sends her messages, full of love, from his tours.

Harry Dawkins is Ashton’s younger sister. She is the daughter of his mother and stepfather. Lauren was educated at the same school as her brother, and she was bullied there.

She teaches her followers to do the makeup correctly and to love their bodies without trying to change them too much. She criticizes bodybuilding heavily. Irwin has a younger half-brother Harry Dawkins. The boy is still a school pupil. He is an active member of the school football team. Harry likes to play computer games; he used to host a YouTube channel with his friends, where they streamed themselves playing.

Harry and his older brother Irwin can’t see each other very often because of the musician’s busy schedule. But they maintain warm relationships.

Bio

The handsome and famous drummer, vocalist, and songwriter Ashton Fletcher Irwin saw the world for the first time in Hornsby, the suburb of Sydney in Australia. Now he is known around the world first of all as the participant of the popular rock band “5 Seconds of Summer”, usually shortened to 5SOS.

He was brought up by a single mother. Ashton has two siblings. He was educated at Richmond High School. He didn’t leave his studying because of a career in the music industry and stayed at school up to the graduation.

It was his stepfather, who taught the boy to love and understand music. Irwin immediately decided to choose making music as his main activity. His path to fame started in 2011 when he joined Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, and Michael Clifford to form the group “5 Seconds of Summer”. He was the last member, who joined the band. As the drummer of 5SOS, he took part in the recording of all four (as of 2020) albums of the band. The latest set of songs “Calm” was released in March 2020. The band was going on an international tour to support the new album, but it was postponed because of the pandemic.

Aside from “5SOS”, Ashton collaborates with other famous musicians, like Andy Biersack, the band “Makeout” etc.
