Woody McClain, also known as WoodyTheGreat, started his career as a dancer for Chris Brown New Artist. Later he portrayed Chris Brown on the small screen in the biopic series “The Bobby Brown Story”. His other film credits include the roles in the thriller “Canal Street”, in the criminal saga “Power Book II: Ghost” and some others.
Edward Woody McClain made his first breath on May 14, 1989, in Charleston, SC. He is the son of Edward Allen McClain and Rosetta Robinson McClain. He grew up with a younger sister Mercedes. Woody’s family relocated to Jacksonville, FL, when he was still a school pupil. After graduation from high school, he entered Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Later Woody moved to North Hollywood to start his career as a dancer.
He gained initial popularity as a Vine star. His friend Splack advised him to create content for this platform. Soon he became a star on that platform. Online, Woody presented his version of Kevin Hart’s monologue “Permission to Cuss”. Kevin watched that, and he immediately noticed Woody’s talent to make people laugh.
